Before You Begin

This is the 17th Circuit Courts Online Filing Application, designed for submitting legal documents to the court electronically.

Filing refers to the official submission of legal documents for review and processing in a court proceeding. Through this system, you can:

Filing Options

  • Initiate a new civil case by submitting documents such as a complaint or petition.
  • File documents in an existing civil case, including motions, responses, and other required court documents.

Business Cases

  • Attorneys: If your case has been accepted into the Business Docket, all subsequent filings must be submitted through the Business Docket portal.
  • Self-represented litigants: If you are involved in a Business Case, you may file subsequent documents using the KentCourt e-File system.
Important: This system does not replace the requirement for proper service.

If you have questions about the filing process, please refer to the eFiling documentation (opens in a new tab) .
